Could COVID Testing at Airports be the New Normal?
When is the last time you went through security? Waited in line for snacks and the newspaper? Had a drink or two at the bar while charging all of your devices? There has been a huge decrease in travel due to the uncertainty of still being in this pandemic.
Would you consider stepping into an airport again if COVID tests were offered before each flight?
Travel industry analyst Henry Harteveldt, of the Atmosphere Research Group told nbcboston.com,
“If you take the test and you’re negative, you can avoid the quarantine at your destination. But if these go well I expect we’ll see more airlines and more airports offer them including potentially, of course, Boston Logan.”
Logan Airport has yet to implement testing, but if it goes well elsewhere, it could only be a matter of time. Would this make you start traveling again?
