Get ready for a new version of “Dancing with the Stars” tonight.

The radiant red planet, Mars, will be doing some moonwalking this evening, and close dancing with the harvest moon. The result should earn the dance partners a high score.

Mars has been very visible in recent weeks. And it’s shining brighter this month than it will again for nearly 15 years. The event will take place tonight in the eastern sky, after sunset. It should stay bright and visible until the sun comes up tomorrow.

According to EarthSky, the moon and Mars will climb highest after midnight, and then lay low in the west as dawn starts to color the eastern horizon on October 3.
