Fresh From A CMA Award Win, Carly Pearce Called Kruser!
The CMA Awards are tonight, and a couple of winners have already been announced! Congratulations to Miranda Lambert for Video of the Year, and to Carly Pearce and Lee Brice for their duet, “I Hope You’re Happy Now,” winning the CMA Musical Event of the Year!
Literally, moments after Carly found out she had won, she checked in with Carolyn Kruse to share her excitement and talk about what she was going to wear tonight, who she is excited to see and her new song, “Next Girl,” Oh, and then there’s her new baby, she gushed about.
Catch it all here! And good luck to Carly on her other nominations for Song of the Year (“I Hope You’re Happy Now), New Artist of the Year, and Music Video of the Year.
Here’s Carly getting the good news while in the middle of an interview!
.@leebrice & I WON MUSICAL EVENT OF THE YEAR. This was the moment I found out as I sobbed on the phone in my PJs. In a year that started as the hardest I’ve ever experienced, YALL are helping me see the big, bright, BEAUTIFUL light at the end of the tunnel. 🤍 #cmaawards pic.twitter.com/RrF9Yzz0Sr

Sadly, Lee Brice won’t be able to share in her joy tonight at the CMA Awards, as he has tested positive for the coronavirus, but he is asymptomatic and quarantining comfortably at home.
