Lee Brice Sings Charles Kelley Parody Of ‘I Hope You’re Happy Now’
Lee Brice is in quarantine with COVID -19 and won’t be singing his now CMA Musical Event winning song “I Hope You’re Happy Now” with Carly Pearce. Instead, Lady A’s Charles Kelley will step in to sing Lee’s part tonight (11/11).
From his barn where he is holding up during his quarantine, Brice wrote a little parody of “I Hope You’re Happy Now” just for Charles. The fun song sings, “It’s my mistake I caught COVID-19 a little too late / but I guess there’s not a right time / Charles my friend I guess it’s your time / So go sing my part on ABC tell everyone I’m in quarantine / But I loved singing on this record / but I bet you do it even better.”
Lee posted to Instagram, “Sittin’ here quarantined Y’all, I am so disappointed that I’m not able to take the stage with @carlypearce and perform at this year’s @cma awards…BUT, I’m excited to watch my buddy @charleskelley CRUSH it tomorrow night. Y’all tune in on @abcnetwork. I’ll be sitting right here watching along with ya.”
