Morgan Wallen Says He’s ‘In a Better Spot’
Morgan Wallen’s career got a big jolt when he won the CMA’s New Artist award last week (11/11) in Nashville.
Backstage after his win, Morgan told us that the pandemic and lack of live shows in 2020 has reminded him how fortunate he is. “The career part I’ve been taking for granted. You know, I’ve always loved playing shows and giving everything that I’ve got every night. I truthfully can say that. But you don’t ever look at a show and say ‘Damn, this might be my last one’ and I think I might treat every show like it might be from now on.”
After a couple of stumbles in 2020 which included getting bumped from Saturday Night Live after video circulated on social media showing Wallen drinking shots, kissing fans and hanging out in groups while not wearing a mask or following other social-distancing guidelines., made his reflect a bit and come back into his own. Wallen said, “For me personally I feel like I might be in a better spot with everything that’s went on this year and with my career kinda exploding. It’s been easy to just get caught up in that and I kinda feel like I’m back at home with myself now which is nice.”
Morgan just announced a 30 track double album called Dangerous, which is due out January 8, 2021.
