2020 Deadlines Set: Here’s When to Send Your Holiday Packages To Get Them There On Time
Many families and friends will not be celebrating the holidays together in person this year – Christmas is going virtual for many – so the USPS says it expects to handle more holiday gifts and greetings this year. Because of this, deadlines to get your packages out are a little tighter this year.
The USPS just released these handy mailing and shipping deadlines for getting your holiday packages out by if you want them to arrive by December 25th (though not guaranteed):
Dec. 9 — APO/FPO/DPO (ZIP Code 093 only) Priority Mail and First-Class Mail
Dec. 11 — APO/FPO/DPO (all other ZIP Codes) Priority Mail and First-Class Mail services
Dec. 15 — USPS Retail Ground service
Dec. 18 — APO/FPO/DPO (except ZIP Code 093) USPS Priority Mail Express service
Dec. 18 — First-Class Mail service (including greeting cards)
Dec. 18 — First-Class packages (up to 15.99 ounces)
Dec. 19 — Priority Mail service
Dec. 23 — Priority Mail Express service
