Kelly Clarkson Wins Primary Custody Of Children
Although Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock’s divorce is ongoing, she just had a major victory in court. Per TMZ, the singer has won primary custody of her children.
The outlet states that Brandon wants to stay at their ranch in Montana and wanted the kids to go back and forth to L.A. But the judge said, “The court finds that the minor children are not now and have not been residents of Montana and that California is their home state.”
So the judge decided that Kelly has primary custody of the kids in L.A. Brandon will get them on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th weekends of each month. For the 1st and 5th weekend, Brandon must be in Los Angeles. For the 3rd weekend, the kids will travel to Montana.
The arrangement is still joint physical custody, but Kelly will get the kids more.
TMZ lastly adds that according to the order, neither Kelly nor Brandon can talk bad about the other to the kids. Also, neither parent can consume alcohol or marijuana within eight hours of driving a car with the kids present.
