Ben & Jerry’s Is Coming Out With Colin Kaepernick Ice Cream: “Change the Whirled”
Ben & Jerry’s is teaming up with former San Francisco 49’ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick for a new ice cream flavor. The flavor is called “Change the Whirled” and will be available in early 2021.
“Change the Whirled” will feature caramel with fudge chips, graham cracker swirls, and chocolate cookie swirls. It’s a non-dairy vegan ice cream (since Kaepernick himself is vegan) and will be made with sunflower butter.
The pints (as seen below) will feature an artistic rendering of Kaepernick on it and the frozen dessert will have a charitable component as well: a portion of the proceeds will go towards Kaepernick’s Know Your Rights Camp, whose mission is to “advance the liberation and well-being of Black and Brown communities through education, self-empowerment, mass-mobilization and the creation of new systems that elevate the next generation of change leaders.”
Kaepernick shared the news on Instagram:
I’ve teamed up with @BenAndJerrys to serve up joy on the journey to justice!
