The Winner Of The Voice Is Crowned, And It’s A First…
The Voice wrapped up another season with a star studded finale, and confetti filled celebration on stage as a new winner was crowned.
And this was a first… for Team Gwen! 15 year old Carter Rubin became coach Gwen Stefani’s very first winner. She was one of just 2 of the coaches to turn their chair for the Shoreham, New Yorker, along with John Legend. Another first: Rubin becomes the youngest male contestant to win.
Most of us viewers knew Carter would go far after hearing his audition (he was only 14 at the time). Rubin performed a powerful rendition of Lewis Capaldi’s “Before You Go.” From there on, the sweet teen with the million dollar dimpled smile won hearts all over the world.
Meanwhile, Gwen won the heart (again) of her fiancé and fellow coach, Blake Shelton.
Congrats on the win @gwenstefani! I’ll let this one slide! @carterjrubin... if anyone beat #TeamBlake, I’m glad it’s you!!!! https://t.co/00xIhdIhoe
