Christmas is a great time of year filled with indulgent treats for us humans... but we need to protect our four-legged friends too. Although they'd love to have a little taste of everything merry, a rehoming center for dogs called Dogs Trust Manchester is putting a reminder out to all dog owners about Christmas safety.

They pass on these holiday tips/reminders for dog owners:

Ensure human treats are out of sight, reach and smell. Don't let your dog drink mulled wine or any alcoholic beverages. Don't let your dog eat onions, leeks, garlic, chives, holly berries, and mistletoe. Don't let your dog eat chocolate or raisins.

But DO: give your fur babies lots of love, belly rubs, and kibble! :)

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you, your family, and all your animal friends!
