Chris Stapleton Was A ‘Stay At Home Dad’ In 2020
Chris Stapleton is pretty quiet about his personal life and rarely talks publicly about his children, but in a recent interview, he did share how his kids have been doing during the pandemic with having their dad home.
Chris told us of being an at-home dad, “Well, you get a lot better at changing diapers. You get out of practice sometimes when you only get two or three days a week of it.”
He adds, “My older children are 11 and 10 and they’re turning into little pre teenagers and things like that. So there’s all kinds of new personality and emotional space to be explored with them. And it’s really interesting to talk to them and hear their takes on things and hear about what they are really passionate about and love and their dislikes. They’re very opinionated, you know.”
Stapleton says of his dad duties, “I get the boys up every morning and make them breakfast and watch them run around, you know, and it’s a special thing to get to do. And what a privilege and a gift in a year that on the surface might seem very devoid of gifts.”
