There’s been a lot of criticism that this year’s Super Bowl halftime show by The Weeknd was “very underwhelming” and “bland”. Even though I was personally a fan of the performance (and I’m not afraid to admit it) I think it’s time country music shows the world how it’s done on a big stage.
There are many artists in country music who could bring it, and bring it big time for the biggest stage of the year. But if you’ve seen her live show in person with your own eyeballs you know that Carrie Underwood would be the perfect match for the Super Bowl halftime show – and I say we make some noise to make it happen!
You know she’d have special “surprise guests” lining up, her voice is second-to-none, and her stage presence demands everyone’s attention. I guarantee if Carrie Underwood played the halftime show Twitter would be full of praise, enjoyment, and celebration – as would discussions about “the Big Game” for the days (and years) to follow.
