Chase Bryant Shares His Story About His 2018 Suicide Attempt
This seemed to come out of nowhere. And yet, everywhere.
We hadn’t heard from country artist Chase Bryant in a few years, but we, his fans, had no idea what he was going through.
Now, we do.
Yesterday, Chase revealed the emotional trauma he’s been through, and how he survived, and ultimately thrived. His words, at times, sound tortured. At times, they sound reflective. And at times, hopeful.
Take a listen to his story. His pain. His salvation. His music.
We first came to know Chase in 2014 with the release of his debut single, “Take It On Back,” a guitar-driven rocker that dipped into the top 10. The talented singer/songwriter and guitarist was all of 21 years old at the time of it’s release. It was followed up by up-tempo, slightly poppier, “Little Bit of You,” which became his biggest hit, climbing to #4 in 2015.
Now, 28 years old, Chase shared his struggles and his (warning) often graphic story about his suicide attempt in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE.
He told the publication, “I just wanted to make it quick. I just thought, I can’t do this at my house. My parents were staying at my place. I couldn’t let them see that.”
