Little Big Town’s Kimberly Schlapman On The Grammy Nominated ‘Sugarcoat’
Little Big Town is a Grammy nominee for “Sugarcoat” from their Nightfall album; the song is nominated in the Best Country Duo Group category.
Kimberly Schalpman says of the song, “I love ‘Sugarcoat.’ It’s a story about a woman who is putting up all these fronts to live a perfect life, and actually what is happening behind closed doors is the opposite of perfect.”
She adds, “It’s really devastation, but she’s covering it up at every time but then she realizes that she needs to let her man know she knows what’s going on.”
The video for the song is set in the 1960’s and features actress Kate Bosworth.
The 63rd Annual GRANNY Awards will air live from Los Angeles on Sunday (3/14) on CBS.
