It Feels Good – Paulie’s Push (Full Interview)

I want to just tell you the story of Paul Veneto.

First of all, someone tagged me on a picture on Facebook. It was of a guy in Boston who was pushing a big silver airline beverage cart. I was intrigued by the picture and the story behind it, so I sent this man a message and asked if I could set up a time to call.

My gosh. My conversation with him was so emotional I decided to post the entire interview with him.

Paul Veneto was a flight attendant based out of Boston for 23 years. He worked for five airlines, and the last one was United Airlines.

His standard flight route was Boston to LA. Flight 175 that left out of Gate C19.

On Sept 11th, 2001 Flight 175 left from Boston as it did every day. Paul was supposed to be on the flight, but there were 7 other flight attendants who had slightly higher priority than him. So instead of boarding that flight, he was bumped from it and went home instead.

Flight 175 was the second plane to crash into the World Trade Center.

Paul's family thought he was on the plane. His phone wouldn't stop ringing. When he woke up he saw that his friends had been killed, along with everyone else on his flight.

Now, 20 years after the devastating terrorist attacks on our country, Paul is building up his strength to push a silver beverage cart from Gate C19 at Boston Logan Airport all the way to NYC to the World Trade Center. And he wants to make it there on September 11th, 2021.

Paul's walking and pushing the beverage cart so his friends, the first responders on these flights, will be remembered. He's collecting donations so he can get from Boston to NYC
