New England’s First Whitewater Park Opening in September
A New Hampshire city is going to be the home of New England’s first whitewater park.
Franklin Falls in Franklin, New Hampshire is transforming into a 13-acre park where guests will be able to whitewater raft, surf, bike, and camp. The park, called Mill City Park at Franklin Falls, is set to begin construction in July and to open in September.
According to Boston.com, the free park will offer kayaking, boogie boarding, whitewater rafting, and surfing on Winnipesaukee River year-round. It will also have walking and biking trails, camping, water play areas for kids, and an amphitheater.
