Blake Shelton On Touring in 2021: ‘I’ll Believe It When I See It’
Blake Shelton has not yet announced tour dates for 2021 and there’s a reason for that: he’s not sure that tours will be able to happen this year.
Blake said during a recent press conference when asked about getting back out on the road, “You know obviously I can’t wait. I’m not as confident as everybody else that we’re about to just blast right back into it again. I hope so. I just try not to get my hopes up right now. I’m just taking it one step at a time.”
He added, “I feel like we all got stung and burned so many times last year it was like, ‘Oh, just maybe, just maybe’ and then nope, it’s not gonna happen. I am to the point where I’ll believe it when I see it.”
Shelton did say that aside from everything else he’s doing, performing for fans is his only real concern. He offered, “This is what I do. I said since I started on The Voice ten years ago, all I ever wanted to be is a country singer. And when all that stuff is over with in my life and career, I’m still gonna be doing this somewhere, somehow whether there’s a tip jar in front of me or at an arena somewhere. Music is really the only shot I had at life and I love country music.”
