“Grateful to be alive!” Chris Janson shared those sentiments to People, after he and his family manage to escape a terrifying fire in their home.
The “Done” singer, his wife Kelly and their kids were all home, asleep, when a fire broke out in the middle of the night a week and a half ago. Kelly woke up after hearing a distant beeping, which turned out to be the only smoke detector that worked. The fire apparently started in Chris’s studio.
Chris also told People, “This was not a little fire. This was a legit, ‘7-foot flame, taller than me’ fire. It was a ‘melting my ceiling fan onto my ottoman’ fire.”
Kelly Janson shared this post on Instagram.
Chris feeling incredibly thankful, said, “Thank God, God woke up my wife Kelly. If it weren’t for her hearing that faint ‘beep, beep’ of the fire detector, it could have been very bad.”
