Country Music Drama Series Coming To Fox TV
It’s being described as a “Texas-sized, multigenerational musical drama about America’s first family of country music.”
Ok, now I’m interested.
The series revolves around the Roman family, a talented, extremely successful family who are also known to be trustworthy. Ironically, the very foundation of their success is apparently a lie.
Cue the dramatic music.
When the Romans reign as country royalty is “put in jeopardy.” The heir to the Roman royal crown, Nicky, will “stop at nothing to protect her family’s legacy.
The series is called “Monarch” and is set to be part of the Fox Broadcasting 2021-2022 season.
Expect to hear both original and cover songs on the show.
Executive producer and series creator Melissa London Hilfers is joined by showrunner Michael Rauch, and executive producer Jason Owen, of Sandbox Entertainment. Owen is a country music manager and his clients include Dan + Shay, Kacey Musgraves, Faith Hill, and the Estates of Johnny and June Cash. He’s also managed Kelsea Ballerini, Little Big Town and Midland.
No word yet on who will star in this country music themed drama.
I can’t wait!
Fox has gone straight to series on #Monarch, a country music drama that marks its first fully owned scripted original series since Disney bought its studio operations.
