Days After Mother Swan Dies On Esplanade, Father Seen Caring For Babies
Here’s your Friday feel-good story of the day!
Monday night, it was reported that a mother swan had died on the Charles River Esplanade. Animal Control picked her up and disclosed that the father swan was sitting at the nest, with the babies, called cygnets, snuggled in his wings.
Thankfully a tender moment like this was captured on camera by Matthew Raifman, who found the family of swans at the Esplanade heading into the Storrow Lagoon.
How beautiful and touching is this photo?
How timely too, as we approach Father’s Day.
