Missing 2-Foot Snake Found in Drain at Workshop

Anyone missing a 2-foot snake?

Well if you are, it’s probably not this one…

According to upi.com, workers at the garage in England found the 2-foot reptile in a drain and managed to contain the snake. They called an animal rescue organization who stated,

“This poor snake was found in a drain, but thankfully the staff at the garage spotted him and confined him in a box. We think he’s likely to be an escaped pet as he was a decent weight so has clearly had someone looking after him quite recently.”

Snakes are excellent escape artists, so if you own one, make sure it’s secure in a tank!

• Baked Mac and Cheese

  4 c. dried macaroni, 1 whole egg, 1/4 c. (1/2 stick or 4 tablespoons) salted butter, 1/4 c. all-purpose flour, 2 1/2 c. whole milk, 2 tsp. (heaping) dry mustard, more if desired, 1 lb. cheese (such as cheddar, jack and/or fontina), grated, 1/2 tsp. salt, more to taste, 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt, more to taste, 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper, and optional spices: cayenne pepper, paprika and/or thyme.

  Kosher salt, to taste, 8 oz. fusilli or rotini, 3/4 c. Basic Pesto, 1/4 c. extra-virgin olive oil, 2 tbsp. white wine vinegar, black pepper, to taste, 1 8.5-ounce can artichoke hearts, drained and quartered, 8 oz. feta cheese, cubed, 1 small cucumber, chopped, 1 c. grape tomatoes, halved, and 1/2 c. pitted kalamata olives, halved.

  4 Summer Squash, 2 Japanese Eggplant, 2 Bell Peppers, 1 tbsp. Heat-safe Oil, Like Avocado Or Coconut, 1/2 tsp. Sea Salt, 3 cloves Garlic, Minced, 1 pinch Crushed Red Pepper Flakes, 3 tbsp. Chopped Fresh Herbs, Such As Thyme, Basil, Rosemary, Chives, Etc., 6 tbsp. Vinegar, Such As Red Wine, White Wine, Or Balsamic, and 4 tbsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
• Tossed Salad With Green Goddess Dressing

  1 ripe avocado, 1/4 c. fresh flat-leaf parsley, 3 tbsp. fresh tarragon, 1 tsp. lemon zest, plus 3 tablespoons lemon juice, 3 tbsp. olive oil, 1 small clove garlic, 2 anchovy filets, 1 (.75-ounce) bunch fresh chives, divided, Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, 3 heads little gem lettuce or 1 small head green leaf lettuce, torn, 3 Persian cucumbers or 1 English cucumber, sliced, and 3 large tomatoes, cut into wedges.

  8 ears corn, still in the husk, 2/3 c. heavy cream, 3 tbsp. butter (salted), 1/2 tsp. salt, to taste, and ground pepper, to taste.
