Cape Cod Lobster Diver Swallowed By Whale
We know what you’re thinking, and YES this is real!
A local lobster diver, Michael Packard, was diving off the coast of Provincetown, MA last Friday morning when a whale swallowed him up.
According to npr.org, Packard stated,
“I was in his closed mouth for about 30 to 40 seconds before he rose to the surface and spit me out. I am very bruised up but have no broken bones.”
His crewman quickly pulled him out of the water and rushed him back to shore where he was transported to Cape Cod Hospital. Miraculously, Michael was able to walk out of the hospital later that afternoon.
Packard can’t wait to get back into the water once he is healed.
