It’s officially summer!

School is out, the world is slowly opening back up, and there are so many things you can do. However, it can be challenging to keep kids occupied for long periods of time.

Take a look below at the list of fun summer activities we have gathered for parents and kids to do together.

• Backyard Camping

  No camp sight? No problem! Pitch a tent in the backyard, grab some s'mores, and enjoy the outdoors. The best part? There's a working toilet merely feet away!

• DIY Slip N Slide

  Do you have a tarp laying around? Grab some water and soap to create your own slip n slide or purchase an inexpensive one on Amazon!

• Cooking or Baking

  Whether you are cooking a special family recipe or trying something new for the first time, spending time in the kitchen is great for bonding!
• Outdoor Obstacle Course

  If you don't live near one, create your own! Include activities like hula hoops, jump ropes, sticks, stones, hoses, and other materials from around the house. Your and your kids can take turns completing and the person with the fastest time wins a prize!

• Read a Book

  Even though school is out, it doesn't hurt to keep that brain going. Plan to read a chapter or more a night. You can even read a whole series together!
