Craft beer is so yesterday.
It’s all about the seltzer! Over the past few years, hard seltzer has become enormously popular. Local breweries like Night Shift and Trillium have even gotten into the seltzer game, releasing their own brands.
Hard seltzer fans will be thrilled to hear that a national festival is coming to Massachusetts. Get ready for Seltzerland! The tasting festival will take place July 24 at the Rockland Golf Course and feature more than 30 hard seltzers to sample. Local and national brands will be available to try.
According to boston.com there will be 2 ticketing options: A general admission ticket for $39 will get you in for seltzer tastings, activities, photo ops, games and you can buy food there. A VIP ticket will cost $59 and will include a special Seltzerland tasting cup, a can of Mike’s Hard Lemonade, a complimentary dish, and a specialty cocktail.
“You know the beverage is popular when it makes it’s way into a country song! The genre, long famous for songs about beer and whiskey, has gotten into the seltzer game too. Cole Swindell’s latest hit, “Single Saturday Night” mentions the hard seltzer brand White Claw.
“Sitting over in the corner, baby, I saw
Pretty red lips working on a White Claw
Shaking to a little ‘Shook Me All Night Long’
And I thought, man, what a beautiful sight”
