Like Scares? ‘The Shining’ Is Being Shown This Weekend On the Grounds of a Local Abandoned Hospital
Halloween is almost 4 months away but if you’re like me it’s always a good time for a good scare. This Friday and Saturday the Coolidge Corner Theatre is launching a pop-up drive-in movie theater on the now-closed Medfield State Hospital grounds in Medfield, MA.
They will be showing the classic 1980 Stanley Kubrick horror/mystery flick “The Shining” on both nights at 8pm. Organizers suggest arriving a little early so you can take a stroll to embrace the spooky ambiance before showtime.
They’ll be projecting the film onto a 40 foot inflatable screen using state of the art equipment provided by Boston Light and Sound.
