Recreational Cannabis Delivery Now Available in Boston
It’s true… you can now get recreational cannabis delivered right to your doorstep in Massachusetts.
Lantern, born from the largest online marketplace and delivery service for alcohol in North America, Drizly, launched today, Thursday, July 15th. It is a user-friendly website that allows customers to type in their addresses and shop for recreational cannabis, offering delivery directly to their homes. You can browse through several different categories: flower, edibles, vape, concentrates, topicals, and accessories. Plus, the website states that there are no markups on the products, so the price you see on Lantern is the same price as in the dispensary.
Before the Cannabis Control Commission authorized recreational deliveries, customers were only able to purchase legal cannabis in-store or with curbside pickup. Lantern is launching alongside two other businesses that are part of the Massachusetts CCC’s Social Equity Program; Freshly Baked and We Can Deliver, according to Patch.com. Freshly Baked is a Taunton-based, veteran-owned cannabis brand and it was behind the first-ever legal recreational marijuana delivery on June 9. And, We Can Deliver is a delivery courier launched through Lantern’s Cannabis Delivery Incubator Program.
Lantern offers delivery from Newton to the west, Quincy to the south, and Salem to the north. No additional cities are currently being added.
