Local Favorite in Cambridge Named Best Burger in MA by Food & Wine
Finally, the list that savory foodies have been waiting for… the best burgers in every state!
Food & Wine, a popular food review site, has released what they have determined to be “The Best Burger in Every State.”
Known as a “local icon” in Cambridge, Craigie on Main has made its way onto the list as The Best Burger in Massachusetts.
To create the Craigie on Main Burger, the restaurant uses grass-fed local beef, cheddar cheese from Vermont, lettuce, red onions, house-made ketchup and a roll from the highly rated Clear Flour Bakery. According to the Eater, the Craigie on Main Burger ticks off all 5 boxes that makes a burger an iconic burger– the perfect choices of bun, patty, cheese, sauce, and toppings.
Besides offering the renown burger, the hot location also offers enticing choices such as crispy pork ribs, tomato and kimchee gazpacho, pumpkin pomegranate hummus, and many other unique options.
But, if you want to test out the claim of best burger at Craigie on Main– you’ll have to wait. The restaurant is taking a summer break and is set to reopen in September.
Besides Massachusetts, Food & Wine also picked Gilley’s Diner in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Stanley’s Famous Hamburgers in Central Falls, Rhode Island, Palace Diner in Biddeford, Maine, Prohibition Pig in Waterbury, Vermont, and Louis’ Lunch in New Haven, Connecticut.
