Carrie Underwood Scores Two Dove Award Nominations
Carrie Underwood is nominated for two Gospel Music Association Dove Awards for her album of gospel hymns, My Savior.
The album is nominated for Bluegrass/Country/Roots Album of the Year, and her duet with gospel superstar CeCe Winans, “Great Is Thy Faithfulness,” is nominated for Inspirational Recorded Song of the Year.
My Savior was released this past March. The album debuted #1 on the Billboard Country chart, making it her ninth consecutive release to do so.
The album comes to life with a virtual live-streamed event from the legendary Ryman Auditorium on Easter Sunday, which raised over $112,000 for Save the Children. The My Savior: LIVE From The Ryman concert DVD and television special were released this month.
The 52nd Annual GMA Dove Awards will be held live and in-person on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at Lipscomb University’s Allen Arena in Nashville and will be broadcast worldwide on Friday, October 22, 2021, through TBN.
Her team posted to Instagram, “Congrats to Carrie on receiving two nominations for the #DoveAwards for her #MySavior album and #GreatIsThyFaithfulness featuring @cecewinans! ✨🙏 @gospelmusicassoc -TeamCU.”
Underwood recently announced the upcoming release of her album My Gift (Special Edition) on CD/digital September 24, and on vinyl November 5, featuring three additional tracks.
