On Monday morning, Kacey Musgraves announced that she will be releasing an album and film. Star-crossed: the film will be premiering on Paramount+ on Friday, September 10^th. You can watch the official trailer here:

Along with the album and film announcement, Musgraves dropped a new song today. The song is the title track of the album, “star-crossed.” This announcement is follows Musgraves’ 15 Instagram posts from this past weekend where she shared lyrics from the song. Fans speculate that the song is about her divorce from ex-husband, Ruston Kelly.

Star-crossed is following Musgraves’ highly acclaimed album, Golden Hour, which won Album Of The Year at the 2019 Grammys.
