A Vigil Honoring Fallen Marine Sgt. Johanny Rosario To Be Held Tonight In Lawrence
The brave and honorable life of Lawrence’s Johanny Rosario will be remembered tonight at Veterans Memorial Stadium at 7:00.
Rosario proudly served our country as a Marine Sergeant. She was assigned to the 5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade, and tragically lost her life, along with 12 other service members, when suicide bombers and gunmen attacked Afghans who were desperately trying to get to the airport in Kabul on August 26.
Sgt Rosario was just 25 years old, and was the oldest of four children. She was a 2014 graduate of Lawrence High School, and attended Bridgewater State University for a semester, before enlisting as a full-time Marine.
There will undoubtedly be a enormous show of support for the hero that is Sergeant Johanny Rosario.
