Carly Pearce’s Hometown Sign in Kentucky Stolen
Less than a week after Carly Pearce was honored by her hometown of Taylor Mill, Kentucky, a sign honoring the singer has been stolen.
According to WKRC the Taylor Mill Police Department believe the theft was a two person job. The bolts holding the sign were removed and it appeared to have been ripped off the metal poles that held it up.
The city has already replaced the sign with one that was supposed to go up at the north entrance to Taylor Mill.
Mayor Daniel Bell and the city hosted a ceremony for Pearce at Pride Park on Sept. 2 unveiling the sign. He told WKRC “We were hurt, especially with the time involved in making this day a special day for her and a special day for the city,” Bell said.
Pearce posted to Twitter about the news saying “Shame on whoever did this.”
