Tim McGraw Shares His Energy Before ‘The Game’
Tim McGraw, like so many other country superstars, had to cancel his tour plans for 2020 and most of 2021 due to the pandemic, but he has been still doing a handful of concert dates this fall including an upcoming show Saturday (9/17) in Illinois.
Tim’s return to the stage has been an enjoyable one just the same, and he compares his live concert experience to that of a football game. He said, “I just look forward to the energy. I always compare it to being an athlete in high school, in the locker room before a football game or a basketball game or before a baseball game even, just the energy that you have and the anticipation.’
He adds, “I don’t get nervous when I’m doing live shows. I get really excited and just full of energy and adrenaline. To me it’s like game day. I get pretty jacked up for it.”
McGraw does admit his nerves get to him a bit when he performs on TV. He offered, “That makes you really nervous, and that’s when I really have to gather myself.”
Tim has been surfing fan videos online recently and shared himself listening to a young girl who covered his 1990’s hit “Don’t Take The Girl,” saying on Instagram, “Amazing Cover from @alexandrakaymusic.”
