CMA Announces 2021 Awards Show Venue, No Host In Place Yet

The Country Music Association has announced that “The 55th Annual CMA Awards” will return to Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Wednesday, November 10, but so far no host has been named for this year's show.

Reba and Darius Rucker hosted the 2020 CMA Awards, but it doesn't appear that either of them will be returning to take on the hosting duties this year.

While the CMA didn't say they were not hosting, they did a press release saying in part, "Host, performers, and presenters for 'The 55th Annual CMA Awards' will be revealed in the coming weeks."

CMA's Chief Executive Officer Sarah Trahern said, “We are so excited to return to Bridgestone Arena for this year’s CMA Awards ceremony. We have a truly fantastic show in the works that we will share more about in the coming weeks. As we plan our return, it goes without saying that the health and safety of our guests and crew is our top priority."

She added, "Due to TV production protocols and venue and local rules, we will require all ticketed audience members to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination and wear masks unless actively eating or drinking. Both the house and backstage will comply with all applicable local health and safety regulations, as well as requirements from the television unions. We look forward to bringing our fans a night to remember!”

A limited number of tickets for the CMAs will go on sale via Ticketmaster to the general public on Monday, November. 1 at 10:00 AM/CT.

Ticketed audience members will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and will wear appropriate face coverings.
