Boston Strangler Movie to Begin Filming in Boston in December
Another Hollywood movie will begin filming here in Boston later this year.
A new movie about the Boston Strangler will begin filming in the area in December. It will film in the city of Boston, but also in nearby towns, according to Boston.com. The 20th Century Studios film stars Kiera Knightley, who will play Loretta McLaughlin, the first reporter to connect the dots between a series of murders and break the story of the Strangler.
The film is based on the 13 infamous murders that happened between 1962 and 1964 as victims of the Strangler. Albert DeSalvo confessed to the murders and was sentenced to life in prion in 1967. He was later killed by a fellow inmate in 1973. There is no release date set yet for the film.
