It’s Back & Bigger: Boston’s Seaport Will Turn Into A Festive “Snowport”
With all that is going on in the world, a winter wonderland escape, right here at home, sounds like the perfect way to embrace the season.
Welcome back “Snowport!” The hugely popular “winter village” in the Seaport district of Boston will light up, freeze up and warm up our spirits. The Seaport officially becomes Snowport on November 19 and runs through January 2. And this year, there’s the added attraction of an open-air market! Enjoy winter games from iceless curling to light up bocce and giant Jenga.
According to Boston.com, some of the other attractions include “a “dramatic” canopy of more than 2,000 twinkling lights, a 3-D backdrop of gifts, and a 30-foot interactive chalkboard called a “Winter Wish Wall” where guests can share their holiday wishes.”
There will be a tree market to get your wreaths and trees, through December 24, and you won’t want to miss Light Up Seaport on December 3 at the Seaport Common. That’s when a 54 foot Norway Spruce will be lit, showcasing more than 10,000 lights, while the Boston Children’s Chorus, and other local artists perform, followed by a holiday stroll.
