Catch Of The Week: Timmy Brown
Meet Timmy Brown from Norton, now Nashville
When last we heard from one of New England’s most popular attractions, Timmy Brown, he was living the “Good Life.” There were summer vibes, a People article, co-writes with Chris Young and Eric Paslay and the album Good Life. With the winter looming on our radar now, Christmas candy stocked on shelves, and holiday shopping reminders at every turn, here comes Timmy Brown with seasonal sounds. Bust out that ugly Christmas sweater and plug into Timmy’s first ever Christmas collection, A Very Timmy Brown Christmas.
Timmy will be performing songs from it, as well as some of his other originals and cover favorites in a pre-Thanksgiving concert at the Hard Rock, Wednesday, November 24. This Thanksgiving Eve show will also feature Alec MacGillivray. You can get tickets HERE.
This hardworking man has come a long way from karaoke days, piano lessons, and a couple of stints on American Idol. Timmy continues to grow his fan base and work on his craft, constantly challenging himself. The wamth in his voice is undeniable, and it’s certainly a draw to lean in and listen more closely to his thoughtfully constructed lyrics.
But now is the time for celebration, with the holidays in sight. So take a listen to what Timmy Brown has been working on to get you into the spirit. Decking the halls will be a lot more fun with Rudolph and rumplemintz along for the ride.
The Sounds Of Brown
Timmy first Christmas EP, A Very Timmy Brown Christmas, set to be released November 19. He just dropped an original song from the EP, “Rudolph Drank All The Rumplemintz”
The story behind the song, according to Brown, is that he wrote it with Alec MacGillivray (another New England favorite) and producer Josh Gleave. Alec and Timmy came up with the idea on a boat, Memorial Day weekend in Nashville. The were cruising along, having a good time, tossing them back, when the came of with the line, “Christmas came on the 26th because Rudolph drank all the Rumplemintz.” So, off to the studio they went, and wrote the song in about an hour and a half!
