Kenny Chesney is celebrating the success of his latest number one song "Knowing You," by reaching out to fans on Instagram and sharing the song's message of savoring the ones you love and the subject of loss.

Kenny wrote on Instagram, "Losing people you care about is always hard. There’s a hole where all that adventure used to be. I worry we lose all the love and beauty in sadness over what’s gone. With 'Knowing You,' my hope has been for you to take this idea and embrace it... embrace that person you loved who’s gone and celebrate every small thing that made the relationship what it was. #knowingyou."

The post has received a lot of responses from fans sharing their stories of loss and has been liked over 70,000 times.

One fan responded, writing, "🥺💔 always think of my cousin Joey whenever I hear this song. It gives me such a lump in my throat and all the feels. I miss him so much. I lost him suddenly, tragically on September 22, 2021, in a fatal car accident. This is still raw for me. Certain lines (lyrics) really strike a chord for me. It’s bittersweet. Thank you for a beautiful song that allows me to reflect on a precious life and an enormous loss. #grateful."

Several other fans shared their stories including this fan who wrote, "Lost my precious son in May, this song made me cry but also reminded me how lucky I was to have such a beautiful soul in my life for 21 years... thx you."
