Kenny Chesney Will Be Carrying A Heavy Load When He Comes To Gillette This Summer
The weight of 34 #1 hit songs will be hauled to Foxboro this August. It’s a lot, especially when you consider the time limit to a concert. How do you squeeze in the big hits, the fan favorites and even a couple of covers in one show?
Kenny Chesney is up for the challenge.
Congrats to our sultan of summer, the pharaoh of Foxboro, on this great accomplishment! “Knowing You” took it’s sweet time to reach the top. The bitter sweet song about losing someone you love took about 37 weeks to hit #1. Some things are worth the wait… and the weight.

On the subject of the song, Kenny said, “Losing people you care about is always hard. There’s a hole where all that adventure used to be. But if you pause for a moment, remember all the crazy times, the discoveries, moments you shared while sad and laughing… If you take all that in, if you know the person who’s gone brought all that to you, how can you be anything but glad? When you’re sad, it’s so easy to forget… But I worry we lose all the love and beauty in sadness over what’s gone. My hope, throughout the life of this single, has been for people to take this idea and embrace it, embrace that person they loved who’s gone and celebrate every small thing that was part of their relationship.”
The video for this #1 hits close to home for us New Englanders. Part of it was shot in Gloucester, MA.
Thinking back to the video shoot for Knowing You. It's the kind of song that can hold anyone. You don’t have to be on a fishing boat freezing to know the pain and gratitude for knowing someone who changed your life. #knowingyou pic.twitter.com/gg5ZKYuwHS
