Garth Brooks Announces Orlando Show, Says 2022 Is ‘Last Year’ Of Stadium Shows
Garth Brooks is heading to the land of Disney as he announced that he is bringing his Stadium Tour to Central Florida’s Camping World Stadium in Orlando Saturday, March 26, 2022.
Garth said noting he’ll be staging as many shows as possible before wrapping the trek with five sold-out concerts in Ireland. He said during his Studio G session on Facebook on Monday (12/6) “2022 will be the last year of the Stadium Tour. And we will end up with the biggest show to end the stadium tour. It’s the last year.”
We reached out to Garth’s people to clarify what he meant by “it’s the last year.” We were told that Brooks doesn’t plan on doing stadiums again after 2022. However, we were told that he is not retiring and will continue to have concerts for fans in the coming years.
It’s also worth mentioning that major artists often make similar annoucements, but those announcements are not legally binding.
The event – his first performance at the longtime home of the Citrus Bowl and his first concert in the city in five years – will be his only such appearance in the state of Florida.
Tickets for the concert go on sale Friday, December 17 (via Ticketmaster). The newly-announced show is now his earliest of 2022, falling about a month ahead of previously announced events in Arkansas (Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville April 23) and Louisiana (Tiger Stadium at LSU in Baton Rouge April 30).
