Tim McGraw Says He And Wife Faith Hill Decided ‘Early On’ Not To Quit
Tim McGraw talked to CBS Mornings and discussed his 25-year marriage to his wife and now TV co-star Faith Hill. Straight from the set of 1883, McGraw was asked how he and Faith made their long marriage a success.
Tim joked, “Say, ‘Yes ma’am’ a lot. That’s the best advice I can give, ’cause you know I have a wife and three daughters, so I don’t get too many words in.”
He continued, “Really and truly it’s a commitment, and we decided early on that we’re not gonna give up, and we want our life together, and we want to raise our kids together, and it’s too easy to bail out, and we never want to do that.”
McGraw gushed of his three girls, now adults, “It’s been incredible to watch them grow up and become the young women they’ve become. I mean, they’re really strong-willed confident young women. We have a 24-year-old, a 23-year-old, and a 20-year old, no teenagers anymore, so it’s pretty interesting to be in that world now as parents. But we’re just so proud of them because they’re such great young women.”
He added, “They’re confident, and they’re sweet, and they are very caring about other people. What more could you ask for?”
“It’s every kid’s dream to be able to play a role like this”: @TheTimMcGraw shares what it's like working alongside his wife, Faith Hill, riding horses on set and singing between scenes.
