‘Walking Dead’ Star Alicia Witt’s Parents Found Dead Inside Worcester Home
The parents of actor, singer, and author Alicia Witt were found dead inside their Worcester home on Monday.
After Witt didn’t hear from her parents for several days, she asked her cousin, who lived close by, to check on them at their home on Sussex Lane. “Sadly, the outcome was unimaginable,” she said in a statement. “I ask for some privacy at this time to grieve and to wrap my head around this turn of events and this surreal loss.”
According to the Worcester Telegram, Worcester police stated that they were called to the home around 9p.m. by a family member who requested assistance checking on the couple. The officers found the couple deceased inside the home and there were no obvious signs of a cause of death or any signs of trauma. They also said that there were reports of the couple having furnace issues and were using a space heater, but firefighters checked the air quality inside the home and found no noxious gases present or any signs of carbon monoxide. The state medical examiner will perform autopsies to determine a cause of death.
One of the couples neighbors also said that they were rarely seen outside the home and that she believed they had been sick for a while. She said many neighbors offered them to help with their home, but they politely declined. But, one neighbor had been mowing the lawn and clearing snow from the property for a few years.
According to Witt’s IMDB bio, she began her career in the original “Dune” movie. In addition to being on Broadway, she has also appeared in many TV shows and films, including “The Walking Dead,” “The Sopranos,” “Two and a Half Men” and “Orange Is The New Black.” In movies, she was in “Urban Legend,” “Vanilla Sky” and “Two and a Half Weeks Notice.”
