The Betty White Challenge: Trisha Yearwood Raised Over 24K In 15 Minutes For Rescue Pets
On what would have been Betty White’s 100th birthday, yesterday, fans across the country honored the legendary actress by donating in the Betty White Challenge. The challenged asked for fans to donate at least $5 to their animal shelters, or to any local or national animal shelter, rescue or agency in Betty White’s name. Of course, it’s never to late to donate and honor the iconic personality.
Trisha Yearwood was up for the challenge! In fact, the Grammy Award winner (and wife of Garth Brooks) asked friends to donate through her Twitter account. And in just 15 minutes fans and friends showed Betty and Trisha big love, donating over $24,000 in just 15 minutes.
This birthday gift, from millions of Americans, was the perfect way to celebrate White’s birthday, as she championed for pets for most of her life. She just wanted all animals to be loved, happy and healthy.
The power of Betty is alive and well.
Seriously, thank you for being a friend and doing the #BettyWhiteChallenge with me! We raised over $24k in 15 minutes and the donations are still coming in! Everyone who donates $25.00 or more will get this #DottiesYard magnet! Xo
