This Was Just Named the Best Cheesesteak in Massachusetts

"Eat This, Not That!" just published a comprehensive list of the Best Cheesesteaks in every state in the U.S.

Most of the places on the list are local eats, not chains, and according to the author "every state in the U.S. now offers a version of the cheesesteak—and a lot of them are really amazing."

Before we reveal the best cheesesteak in Massachusetts here are some not-too-far-away winners (including the ever-debated Best Cheesesteak in Philly):

New Hampshire: Bennett's Sandwich Shop in Portsmouth

Rhode Island: Sax's Steak and Pizza in Providence

Vermont: Al's French Fry in South Burlington

Maine: Bennett's Sandwich Shop in Kennebunkport (must be phenomenal! They won New Hampshire too!)

Pennsylvania (this is a big one!): Max's Steaks in Philadelphia

Massachusetts: Rondo's Submarine Sandwiches in South Boston - the article says of the sub, "the cheesesteak is hearty, cheesy, and served on perfect crunchy on the outside soft on the inside bread—you really can't ask for more."
