Those of us in the Boston area reportedly prefer more modern names like Lola, Ziggy, and Jack. But take a look at a recent list distributed by the City of Boston, and you may also be surprised to find some familiar old-school K-9 names.
To serve as a reminder to get your pets licensed by March 31, the Boston Parks and Recreation Department's Animal Care and Control Division divulges the most licensed dog name from the previous year.
Drum roll, please... The most popular male dog name in 2021 was Charlie! Ziggy wasn't far behind. For our pretty lady pups the number one choice in Boston was Luna. A close second was Bella.
