Garth Brooks Reschedules Nashville Stadium Date: ‘We’re Coming Home’
Garth Brooks is making good on his goal of rescheduling a concert on his Stadium Tour that fell victim to dangerous storms, lightning, and torrential rain last summer. Garth is set to perform at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium on April 16, and tickets will go on sale next week (Friday, March 4).
Brooks said in a press release, “When you look at the way the people that show up for your concerts act think about Central Park. 850-thousand to 1.2-million people and two arrests that night. In Central Park. At night. You gotta be kidding me, right? I will compare that to the rain in Nashville.”
He continued “Seeing everybody standing together, singing ‘The Thunder Rolls’ or ‘Friends In Low Places’ [was] just really sweet. That’s why you not only want to come back – you have to come back. Not for them, but for me.”
Garth posted to Twitter, “Nashville, we’re coming home…AGAIN! You were sweet to each other when the Thunder Rolled last time. I not only want to come back, but I also have to come back! Not for you, but for me! Let’s make this a night so great we want to live it twice! love, g #GARTHinNASHVILLE.”
