Lady Gaga, Steven Tyler, Pharrell Williams and More Have Unclaimed Property In Massachusetts
The Massachusetts treasurer’s office has added more names to the state’s list of unclaimed property owners… and some very famous celebrities happen to be on it.
According to the Boston Herald, these celebs have unclaimed property in the Bay State: Lady Gaga, Pharrell Williams, Steven Tyler, members of New Edition, Yo-Yo Ma, Meghan Trainor, and Susan Tedeschi. More than 55,000 new properties worth millions of dollars belong to individuals and businesses throughout the state.
“Put on your poker face and declare what is rightfully yours,” Treasurer Deborah Goldberg said in a statement. “Reach for your telephone and give us a call today to begin the claims process!”
Every six months, the state treasurer’s office releases an updated list of unclaimed property assets as the new accounts are turned over to the state. This can include anything like forgotten savings and checking accounts, uncashed checks, insurance policy proceeds, stocks, dividends, and the contents of unattended safe deposit boxes.
