Blake Shelton Says Gwen Stefani’s Sons Had To Adjust to Farm Life
When Blake Shelton married Gwen Stefani in July of 2021, he became a step-father to three boys, Gwen’s sons from her marriage to Gavin Rossdale: 15-year-old Kingston, 13-year-old Zuma, and 7-year-old Apollo.
Blake has spent time with the boys for years, and now as their stepdad, he’s working on getting the guys to feel natural on his Oklahoma farm and have some outdoor fun as he did as a kid. During an interview at Country Radio Seminar in Nashville in February, Shelton said, “The two of them were like, ‘Well, what do we do now?’ I go, ‘Go out that door and don’t come back till you’re too tired to go any further.’ Well, they can’t even imagine just going down to the creek with a net or turning over rocks or getting on a buggy and driving around.”
Blake did say that over the years, the boys’ frequent trips to Oklahoma have allowed him to share some of his childhood experiences, even if they may be a bit dangerous. He offered with a laugh, “When it comes to burning things, starting fires, and throwing hatchets…you better get out of the way!”
