Brothers Osborne’s John: ‘My Brother And I Achieved The Impossible’
Brothers Osborne winning their first Grammy on Sunday (4/3) in the Best Country Duo category for their song “Younger Me.” was life-changing for the brothers who grew up in Maryland. John Osborne took to Instagram to express his thoughts on the event.
John posted along with a black and white image of him and his brother TJ walking to the stage to accept their honor, “Yesterday my brother and I achieved the impossible. Just a couple of kids from small-town Deale, MD, who were upper-lower-middle class on a good day. I spent the first two years of my life in a trailer park, and my first bed was the bathtub. Yesterday I walked on stage and accepted a Grammy Award. Work hard, be kind, be patient… and you’ll do just fine.”
Several of their country music friends responded to the post, including Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild, who wrote in part, “John and TJ- good things happen to good people!!!” John’s wife, country singer Lucy Silvas wrote, “You don’t need a single thing to win in every way possible just by being you. I love you. So proud of you and how you handle every aspect of what comes to you.”
