Carrie Underwood Recalls Idol ‘Big Moment’ 17 Years Ago
Carrie Underwood marked the 17th anniversary of her winning American Idol in 2005 yesterday (5/25) by posting a page from her journal from the night she won.
Carrie posted an image of the journal entry, which says in part, recalling the “big moment,” “Ryan (Seacrest) said something like, Your 2005 American Idol is…. my heart beat fast, and I closed my eyes… CARRIE UNDERWOOD.”
She captioned the post, “Today is the 17-year anniversary of my @americanidol win! Where does the time go? Please enjoy a page from the journal of a 22-year-old farm girl who just had the most incredible night! I still feel the excitement through the pages! Happy anniversary to me and a forever “thank you” to all who voted!”
