The Bruins’ Charlie McAvoy Is Engaged!
“The most amazing day- can’t wait to marry my best friend,” that was the post on Boston Bruins’ defenseman Charlie McAvoy’s Instagram yesterday. McAvoy and his longtimne girlfriend, Kiley Sullivan, posted from the island of Capri in Italy. Boston.com disclosed that the couple have been dating since they both attended Boston University.

NESN reported that #73’s offseason began with shoulder surgery. That was last month, and the article said Charlie will miss the beginning of the 2022-23 NHL season. I’m sure he will be busy making wedding plans with Kiley, in the meantime, and enjoying their family and friends. McAvoy and Sullivan met in 2015.
The defenseman actually grew up a New York Rangers fan. According to Wikipedia, McAvoy was born in Long Beach, New York. And his dad, Charles McAvor Sr, is a fourth generation owner of Charles McAvoy Plumbing and Heating company, based out of Long Beach. Charlie’s mom was an elementary school teacher. Surprised to hear Charlie and his family weren’t Islanders fans, since they lived there? The article mentions they had quite a few Rangers who used their plumbing service, so that makes perfect sense.
